The new textbook follows on from the successful series of mathematics textbooks for the 2nd grade of elementary school by the author team: doc. PaeDr. Soňa Čeretková, PhD., prof. RNDr. Ondrej Šedivý, CSc. Ivan Teplička.

The first part of the mathematics textbook for the ninth grade helps students understand the mathematical rules and laws resulting from the state educational program. The new curriculum is explained in the form of solved examples. It contains many tasks and exercises not only for counting 'without thinking', but we have also included tasks and problems that require deeper thinking, awareness of connections from a slightly 'different side' of mathematical knowledge, or surprisingly connecting seemingly disjointed knowledge.

Some tasks require cooperation in solving them in pairs or smaller groups.

The textbook also includes tasks that can be solved in a real environment by observing and measuring objects that students are familiar with but have not yet thought about their mathematical properties.
